Empowerment and Youth Awareness (EYA) was established 2018, it was earlier started as a group of peers who decided to join together to contribute their potentiality to bring significant changes and improvements into lives of young people and women regardless of their age differences but later on members decided to establish an organization which would be more organized and systematized to work. The reason why the group of volunteers joined together to serve people of marginalized communities in Northern zone of Tanzania is because there have been no any group, institution or organization that is based in northern zone to serve people of marginalized communities. However, we came to realize the level of advocacy in northern zone towards the organization registered in 2020 under the NGO Act No. 24 of 2002, on 01st October 2020 with Registration No: 00NGO/R/135O.
